Hints & Tips Cross Stitch

I know there are many very talented people out there who are not need of my help, but for those of you who are then hopefully as time goes on you may find something here that will help you conquer a nemesis or two.

So this page is dedicated to everything cross stitch, from getting started to what to do with your finished piece and everything else in between.

When it comes to cross stitch I started that particular journey some 25+ years ago when I won a small kit in a raffle. I hadn't done any sort of embroidery since I was at school on giant sized aida or binca. I spent the weekend making up the little kit which I think might have been a bumble bee on a poppy  which I made into a birthday card and that was it I was hooked.

If I tell you that having stitched that little bumble bee that my second project was Teresa Wentzler's Carousel you might think I'm a little mad, well that we know to be true  already but I did and I lived to tell the tale and to this day it is one of my favourite pieces and probably the one I am most proud of.  I can tell you it has already caused arguments between the children as to who will inherit it. Just as well I'm not thinking of going anywhere any time soon.
