Whether you have learnt something at your mothers side or learnt it from a friend there are always little hints and tips that you can share with others. This is so true of cooking. It was a few years ago now that my son suggested that I should write down my recipes for his partner. They had just bought their first house and she really wanted to be able to find lots of new things to make now they had their own kitchen in which to experiment. All my children left home able to iron their own clothes, sew on a button and cook, so they would always look well dressed and I knew they wouldn't starve. It came in very handy for my son who went into the forces and even now he is in charge of ironing at home. I did make a recipe book for my son's partner and not only have they used it but also added favourite recipe's from other members of her family and added new recipes to it of their own. So this page is for those little hints and tips we find a long the way in our life's journey.
